A Medal for Jim |
|
Retired Civil Service Officer, Jim Hall of Saltash was presented with the Imperial Service Medal by HMS Raleigh's Commanding Officer, Commodore David Pond. This is the medal of the Imperial Service Order, instituted in 1902 by King Edward VII, to recognise more fully the work of members of the Civil Service. The Medal is awarded only to staff who have completed a minimum of 25 years service to the crown. Commodore Pond said : "It is an enormous privilege to present Mr. Hall with the Imperial Service Medal which Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve. "On behalf of everyone, I thank him for his loyalty and dedication to the Civil Service. "I wish him and his wife Pamela a long and happy retirement." HOME Page |
